Klein Sun Gallery was founded by Eli Klein in 2007 on West Broadway in SoHo, New York. The gallery has an international reputation as one of the foremost galleries specializing in Chinese contemporary art. Its mission is to cultivate a unique selection of important artists and present their visions to a global audience. Through museum exhibitions, gallery shows, and the publication of catalogues as well as academic essays, Klein Sun Gallery strives to stimulate inter-cultural dialogue while promoting an academic approach to China’s most ground-breaking talents. In December 2013, the gallery relocated to a new 8,000 square foot, street level space in the heart of New York’s Chelsea art district. In recognition of its longtime partner, Shanna Sun, the gallery transitioned from Eli Klein Fine Art to Klein Sun Gallery in January 2014.
